A question worth answering

When this is not worth building

There is a version of this page on most sites that says every business needs it. That is not true, and it is easy enough to say which ones do not.

If you are not missing enquiries, there is nothing here for you. A business where every call gets answered and every message gets a reply the same hour has already solved the problem this system solves. Adding software to that is a cost with nothing on the other side of it.

If your prices genuinely cannot be given without seeing the job, the answering half is worth much less. A specialist quoting bespoke work is going to have that conversation in person either way. The booking and reminder half may still pay for itself, but be clear that is what you are buying.

If your volume is a few enquiries a week, the free tools are enough. A WhatsApp Business profile with quick replies and a Google Business Profile kept up to date will cover it. Anyone who tells you otherwise at that volume is selling rather than advising.

The two questions that actually decide it: how many new enquiries went unanswered last week, and what one of them is worth to you when it turns into a customer. If you do not know the first number, that is the thing to find out before you spend anything, and it takes a week of paying attention to your own phone.
