A question worth answering

Answering WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram from one place

A customer does not think of Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram as different businesses to manage. You end up doing that for them.

Most small businesses that get messages on more than one channel handle each one differently in practice, not on purpose: WhatsApp gets checked constantly because it is where friends message too, Instagram gets checked when there is time, and whichever channel is checked least is where a customer waits longest for a reply, with no way of knowing that is why.

The fix is not choosing one channel and asking customers to switch, which most will not do. It is answering all of them the same way, from the same prices and the same diary, so a booking made through Instagram lands in the same place as one made by phone. The customer never has to know or care which channel wins.

This matters most for businesses whose customers arrive through ads or social content first: a hotel getting enquiries from an Instagram post, a salon getting DMs after a before-and-after photo. That first message is often the whole opportunity, and it is worth answering exactly as fast as a phone call.
